The Muldeparadies and the imposing "Glück auf" Bridge dominate the view along the Mulde River. But has it always been this way? What used to be here? You’ll find the answer on our city tour.

Almost nothing remains of the former streetscape and the original buildings along the eastern section of Dr.-Friedrichs-Ring. This makes the tour all the more revealing, offering a glimpse into the history of this former neighborhood. Starting at the historic post pillar and continuing to the junction with Leipziger Straße, participants are transported back a hundred years or more—to a time when there was a mill district and a bathhouse on the Mulde, when one could stop for refreshments and dance in the taverns along the Mulde, and when Osterstein Castle was still the residence of the Wettin dynasty. Of course, at certain points along the way, there are stories related to both notable figures from Zwickau and historical facts.
