For many years, the Zwickau Fall Market has combined traditional crafts, regional products, music, games, and a variety of culinary delights—and offers two days of fun-filled family activities in a relaxed atmosphere.
Once again this year, on September 26 and 27, Zwickau’s Kornmarkt will be transformed into a colorful marketplace. From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day, visitors can look forward to a diverse array of shops, crafts, entertainment, and culinary delights. The market will be accompanied by the lighthearted and humorous folk music of the popular duo LiedFass. Several vendors and artisans will showcase their handmade products and offer insights into their traditional crafts and artistic skills. Visitors will have the opportunity to discover unique one-of-a-kind items as they stroll through the market and make purchases directly from the exhibitors.
There’s plenty for families with children to discover once again. A variety of hands-on activities invite young visitors to try things out and get creative. Whether they’re making fall decorations, learning about letterpress printing—a craft over 100 years old—or playing simple games, children can explore the market in a fun way.
The market also has plenty to offer in terms of food. Various food stalls serve up savory and sweet treats to satisfy your appetite. From warming pumpkin soup to hearty grilled dishes and the ever-popular bratwurst, there’s something for every taste. Fresh-from-the-oven pastries and Federweißer round out the culinary offerings and invite you to enjoy a delightful end to your visit to the market.
We look forward to spending a very relaxing late-summer weekend with you.
